Companies from Georgia secured more than €600,000 worth of orders from international buyers Anuga 2021, the world’s leading trade fair for food, in Cologne, Germany.
Among Georgian participant companies, five SMEs are beneficiaries of the International Trade Centre’s (ITC) ‘Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade’ project, funded by the European Union under its EU4Business initiative.
As part of the ITC-supported delegation at Anuga, producers from Georgia exhibited a variety of organic products, including dried fruits, nuts and teas.
During the B2B meetings, Georgian companies established more than 107 new business contacts with leading companies from all over the world, including Germany, Netherlands, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Poland, Canada, Ukraine, Bulgaria and received orders for their products from 20 buyers.
The event has more than 165 000 visitors, and more than 7 400 international exhibitors display their foodstuffs, ranging from ingredients to processed products. It is the meeting point for suppliers and decision-makers in the industry. Participation in the fair helped Georgian companies find new sales opportunities and partners.

Ready to Trade project helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Eastern Partnership countries to integrate into global value chains and access new markets with a focus on the EU, assisting SMEs in producing value-added goods following international and EU market requirements while connecting them with buyers from global value chains and markets. The project is financed by the European Union.
